I use a vintage glass decanter to serve olives. There are three bottles you can make using recycled bottles.

Whenever I have fun with a cooking item, I love it! I am sharing two more ideas that you can make yourself.

Let’s Upcycle and Repurpose

I like to use vintage items in different ways.

The planter was vintage. I keep my olive oil on the stove by storing it in the cordials decanter.

I smile every time I reach for my beautiful vintage decanter filled with olive oil.

I used an old wine bottle and a syrup bottle to make the other two dispensers.

How to make a bottle of olives.

I have never done anything like that.

It is easy. This did not come out perfect, but I do not care.

If you don’t know what glass etching is, it is a popular technique that is still widely used in both residential and commercial spaces. Acid, caustic, or abrasive substances are used to create art on the surface of glass. The quality of frosted glass is affected by the removal of small amounts of glass.

Andrew and Charlotte had a wedding. If you want to clean a bottle of wine, you can either drink it or buy lots of different kinds of wine bottles.

You need to make this bottle.

Here is all you need to make a container.

  • cork top (get one with the pour spout)
  • I used Martha Stewart Glass Etching Cream to make the etching.
  • I bought letter stickers and did a reverse etching because I couldn’t find letters that were peel and stick.
  • painters tape
  • The etching cream is a bit harsh so be sure to wear gloves and not swallow it. The package contains directions.

I taped off an area around the word OIL because I could not find stencil letters. This is where the etched glass would be.

  • One thing to remember is that the etching will be around the letters, not the actual letters. You want to tape off the edge of the etching.
  • You can apply the etching cream very thickly. Don’t get it where you don’t want it to be etched.
  • Allow the area to dry for twenty minutes and then wash it off with water.
  • It should look like mine. I can’t believe it was so easy.

How to make a bottle that holds olives.

I bought this bottle a long time ago. I thought it would make a great bottle of olive oil.

Here is what you need to make a container.

  • glass container (vintage, wine bottle, or any container)
  • cork top (get one with the pour spout)
  • Don’t use a substitute for the spray paint.
  • You can peel and stick the stencil you want.
  • painters tape and paper

You can use spray paint. I used the spray paint to make the vintage mercury glass look better.

How to paint with mercury glass.

  • The peel and tick stencil should be placed where you want it to be.
  • Since you are spraying, use painters tape to protect the bottle.
  • There are three ways to spray the area.
  • four – let dry and remove stencil

How long does olives last? Most olive oils can be used for at least 18 months. Olive oil in our home only lasts a few months before we need more, so we use a lot of it. How do you clean a container? The process I use to clean my bottles is two-step. Put the bottle up halfway with hot water, shake it up, and pour it out. Do it several times.

If the bottle still needs more cleaning, fill the bottle halfway with hot water, add a few drops of dish soap, and shake it up The bottle should be clean and not soapy. Hang the bottle upside down. Is it possible to keep olive oil in a bottle? The dark jar is where I keep most of my oil. My pantry has it. I fill my olive oil bottle with olive oil and put it on my stove top away from the sun. I fill it with oil every week. The olive oil does not affect the bottle.
